A Residential Living Environment for Male and Female

Our Program

Our name summarizes our mission: to help restore broken lives by offering a Christian faith-based sober living residential support structure for males and females committed to life and lifestyle change, and who are seeking to rebuild their lives upon a solid faith foundation..

House of Restoration provides a "family" living environment for up to 12 months in Griffin, Georgia. Residents must commit to curfews and random drug tests, and to supporting one another. We accept applications without regard to race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, or age. Personal responsibility, shared work, respect for others, communication and conflict resolution, tolerance for differences and similar skills are learned and lived.

We are not a licensed treatment facility and we do not provide direct detox, medical or psychological services.

House of Restoration addresses the whole person. Each resident sets personal goals. Progress, encouragement, and accountability are provided by weekly individual meetings with staff and a weekly residents' group meeting. Components of our support structure include:

Spiritual. Residents share Bible study and prayer time, and participate in Christian discipleship and personal growth groups. Each resident is encouraged to worship and become involved in church.

Educational. Residents are encouraged to participate in ongoing education: school, GED preparation, vocational training, or tutoring. We provide volunteer tutors.

Life-Skills Training. Within the house and by networking with outside resources, we offer opportunities to learn money management and budgeting; shopping and cooking; social and relational skills; health and nutrition; finding and using community resources; etc.

Rehabilitation. Residents are encouraged to participate in counseling.

Employment. Unless enrolled in school, a vocational or rehabilitation program, or disabled, residents are expected to hold jobs.
