A Residential Living Environment for Males and Females
House of Restoration was opened in 2005 by Apostle Bobby Slaughter, a native of Griffin, GA. He has a compassion for hurting people and has been called to see men and women set free from their addictions to take their rightful place in their families, community and society. The foundation of this ministry is based on love and leading the individual to the path of salvation, that they may be made whole and set free.
PURPOSE
We are a 501(c)3 non-profit, Christian based, residential living program. Our clients are recovering from substance abuse, homelessness and other social ills. Our program is of 9 - 12 months duration. We address many areas of need for the client including: addictive behavior counseling, job readiness and computer literacy, life skills classes and Bible Study.
The first 30 days is a period designed to get the individual back to healthy thinking. After this initial phase, some start jobs or go back to the ones they held before entering the program. Every resident must get a job to become and remain self-sufficient. Learning to take care of themselves and be responsible. We work hard on helping them get their lives back together. After beginning work, each resident pays a program fee. After the program fee, each resident receives an allowance and all other monies are put into an account. At program completion all monies collected are given to the resident along with a certificate of completion. This is for a new start!
